Frequently asked
questions
Answers to common questions about working with NewHayven, our services, and how we operate.
NewHayven advises established businesses on securing growth capital. We structure and arrange financing, provide transaction advisory services, and connect local enterprises with international investors to support strategic expansion.
We are a merchant bank. We do not accept deposits or offer retail lending. We focus on larger, strategic transactions of USD $5 million and above for established, revenue-generating businesses and capital-ready projects.
Commercial banks accept deposits and make loans within retail-focused regulatory frameworks. We do not.
We structure investments, advise on transactions, and connect businesses with capital partners. Our role is to design and facilitate the right financing solution, not to operate as a traditional lender.
The transactions we structure require significant time, expertise, and resources. Below USD $5 million, the economics are generally not viable for either party.
Businesses with smaller capital needs are often better served by commercial banks or microfinance institutions. We are happy to have an initial conversation and help point you in the right direction if we are not the right fit.
We partner with established, profitable businesses with a proven operating track record. Ideal clients have operated successfully for several years, maintain clear expansion plans, and approach growth with discipline and a long-term perspective.
Not necessarily, and often not at all. Capital structures vary widely and may include equity, debt, or hybrid solutions.
Where control is a priority, we structure transactions accordingly and clearly explain the trade-offs so you can make an informed decision.
Timing depends on the complexity of the transaction and your level of readiness. Some engagements close within a few months; others, particularly those involving significant preparation or multiple stakeholders, may take longer.
We prioritize thorough execution over speed, as well-structured transactions lead to better long-term outcomes.
